Vinaya study and practice support with other ordained members of the Sangha continues. We persist in our enjoyment and delight in applying the Awakened One's teaching. An article we wrote following the 2010 Western Buddhist Monastic Gathering appears in this summer's issue of Present, the publication of the Alliance For Bhikkhunis. The Practice of Vinaya in the 21st Century was the focus of the Gathering and the article describes the discussions and concerns of monastics today, particularly in the west, in regard to applying the guidelines to our daily lives for the benefit of all beings.

Ven KC Madika...is traveling back to Joshua Tree, California to work with professional editor and Sangha member Susan Abbot on The Missing Peace, Freedom From Destructive Emotions the written companion to her workshops. She will be visting friends and students while in California as well but the trip is aimed at production of the printed book.
